Church Service

Who We Are

Our Minister

Our worship is usually led by our Minister, Pastor Geoff Cottam, though he may step aside to let other local preachers take all or part of the service. He is available to take baptisms, funerals, and to conduct marriage ceremonies for which the Free Church building is authorised. Although at the moment, a Registrar from the Penzance Registry Office is required by law to be present for a marriage, enquiries are being made to enable Geoff to be licenced to do this himself. There is no such restriction for baptisms or funerals. If you wish to consider planning any of these events to be held at this Church, please contact Geoff either by telephone on (01736) 810077, or by email at geoffcottam@gmail.com

Our Secretary

If you wish to make enquiries about any matter other than a booking for use of this Church, or anything which is not the responsibility of the Caretaker, please contact the Secretary, Mary King, either by telephone on (01736) 787590, or by email at littlegenge@btinternet.com Mary is also the Church Organist here, and is currently the Responsible Person for Safeguarding.

Our Caretaker

The person responsible for looking after the maintenance and cleanliness of this site is our Caretaker, Jon Bennetts, who lives next door (to its left when seen from the road). He is also responsible for taking bookings for the use of the Hall or the Church, and may be contacted by telephone on (01736) 449355, or by email at jonandlucitabennetts@gmail.com

Accessibility

For those with mobility limitations who cannot manage the concrete slope at the front, including wheelchair users, you are welcome to use the side entrance.  Proceed a short distance down the lane to the right of this site, and enter by the gate on your left.  Keep the red painted railings on your left and proceed along the short concrete ramp ahead of you to find the first door on your left.  Please note that this door opens outwards, as it is also an emergency exit.  If the worship is in the Church, and you cannot manage the stairs inside, you can make use of the platform lift which will take you up to the church floor level.  Should you need assistance at any time, please ask one of the Church Members present.  There are disabled-accessible toilet facilities on both floor levels.
